Write a blog, they said!
A graduate journalist, until recently a PR, today I need to write my first blog and … and I have no idea what to write about. After so many texts written in my career (let’s be realistic, 14 years is not a short time), I am in dillema, and for the first time I am writing something of my own, something that wasn’t dictated by those on higher ladder.
I whatched some tutorials on youtube and pinterest, to see how to write a blog? They say that the title is important, it has to be impressive to attract the audience! Oh really? Well, at least I know that, “Today at the headquarters … a meeting was held, or a decision was made on …,” but somehow I doubt that anyone here would be interested to read such titles.
Then I looked further, and they say that the introduction is important, introduce to the audience briefly what you want to write about. It’s somehow easier for me to introduce you to the fact that I don’t even know myself. Plus, the keywords, because SEO optimization is very important for a web site. So here’s the keyword – “I don’t know”. I should write about digital media, the benefits of social media in marketing and two-way communication, fake news and of course about public relations.
I will tell you this, I am a woman in my late thirties, enthusiastic about tiktok (in my time walkmen was the pinnacle of technology), I quit my 14year held job and started my own business for digital media, more specifically for social media management. I have so much to tell you, but for the first blog, I think it is enough to announce a new chapter in my career and a nice time with you, my loyal audience (I had to), which will last.
And you know what, I’m not going to follow the rule of “quality blog” which must contain a minimum of 1000 words. I think we will all be happy with these 353.
I’m blogging again soon, and untill then auuuuuuuuuu
